The folks behind the Trading Post are the same people that founded its parent company, Modern Outpost Enterprises Ltd, which produces an online outdoor gear catalog.

Modern Outpost is based in Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada. The company was formed in 1998 with the simple goal of providing innovative products to resourceful, independent people who enjoy the outdoor lifestyle.

Our President and co-founder, lives with Muscular Dystrophy and truly understands what independent living is all about. Luke serves as inspiration and motivation to make Modern Outpost a positive example of a globally accessible business.
